Play-off final goalscorer Matt Green has signed a 2 year deal with United.

Signing for an undisclosed fee from Torquay – he was out of contract, so the fee is ‘compensation’ after they offered him a contract purely in order to get the money.

Matt Green and Sam Deering have been called up to the England ‘C’ squad.

They are part of the 18 man squad for the International Challenge Trophy group B game against the Republic of Ireland. The match will be on Wednesday 26th May at Waterford United’s ground.

Oxford United won the Oxfordshire Senior Cup last night. A 3-1 win over Banbury United courtesy of a matt Green hattrick, saw U’s lift the trophy at the KasStad.

U’s play-off place was confirmed last night. AFC Wimbledon’s 0-5 defeat to York City meant that United are guaranteed a semi-final spot.
